The who by numbers is from 1975 if i remember ...and it's their last good album... i don't own it , but the Entwistle compo "Success" is my fave of the album, just 'cause it rocks.

    i listen to

    Cast
    "Dreamer" (it's loud and psychedelic)
    -Magic Hour- LP 1999

This is the 3rd lp (of 4) of this band of Liverpool. They split in 2001 but this album with the 1st are impressive. Cast was one of the lead band of the Britpop music. They mixed a sort of Who with Beatles.
John Entwistle was a fan and they even recorded in his studio. Actually one of the guitarist of the band Tyson is now playin' in the impressive new band of Robert Plant.

I like this album but it's not really original... this album it's psychedelic class...(it marks probably the end of freaky hippies).

I listen to something more common:

    The Byrds
"I come and stand at every door"
    -5th Dimension-LP 1966

a psychedelic slow song who tell the story of the ghost of a Child in Hiroshima...it's deep... this is far away of MTV product.

I prefer this type of more progressive, artistic, avant garde music of the 1970's.

Now "The Great Gig In Th Sky" is playing. It's quite a depressed sounding album.
