Not an Aphrodite aficianado tbh, I'm not the biggest drum and bass fan but I can't really stomach the style that he plays, a bit too duurrrr durrrr durrr durrrr duurrrrrrr if you know what I mean hehe. He might have been good in 1998 but in england that style's been rinsed too much since then.

I don't think I'd be a big fan. I'll admit though, I've never listened to him.

Hey Gorillaz is not really rap... Gorillaz has rap influence but with rock - pop - triphop- dance - soul- reggae?! yes and it's not over (some african folk roots somewhere...can we find punk rock 2 ?)...it's a band at the crossroads of music...
each time i nearly buy their 2albums... but i've found always other priorities...
Respect to Gorillaz ...and don't forget that the leader of Gorillaz is Damon Albarn from Britpop giant "Blur" ...
I read recently that it will be their last album... Albarn told that they can't record a better album.

    For the previous post:
I don't know the Neutral Milk Hotel... but i read this name so many times now (do you like to pearce our minds!?)...it's alright ...i've got this name recorded in my brain for 20 years now...

    I listen to :

    Aphrodite's Child
    "Annabella"
    -It's Five O'Clock- LP 1969

Well a greek band enter the psychedelic arena ... after a first second of surprisin' reaction - some people around the arena (want to) laugh (probably the most conservative-republican side)...some other people still curious after the 1st impression...(us the cream!:)

Those 3 Greek made great impression...with their 3 albums... 2 of them will become famous....

Roussos the singer found a lot of success in solo in the 70's mostly in Europe & Asia & the leader Vangelis...
Everybody knows Vangelis !? This is his first and only band!
Well in the US Aphrodite's child are unknow (more or less) but in Europe they were popular...

And we can understand why when we listen to those songs... it's psychedelic pop for the 1st lp / then psych popfolkrock for the 2nd / and progrock for the 3rd

This song "Annabella" is something... it's very innocent & fresh ...you can smell the sea when you hear it...it's a romantic beautiful & honnest song... it's very mediteranean ... You've got to hear that with pot !...

you feel the warm of the sun who reflect the sea ...blindin' your eyes when you look at the water...your eyes try to catch the unstoppable horizon...and Anabella is somewhere ...

    You Paint the Picture
Aphrodite's child made this superbe music

Unbelieavable but Vangelis refuse an offer in the early 70's to join Monster 70's progrocker Yes...
