Hmmm... I wonder if you will be able to quote a post here and show that on Facebook...

I'm not sure I want what I say here shared by someone else on their Facebook.

 

Ah, ya no wanty my stuff here showing up on my face book, these two places are very different in what we might say and do and want others on our Facebook reading. Yikes! My momma can see my Facebook! Not that she don't know most things about me but I wouldn't want her reading about me wanting to learn how to squirt if ya know what. I mean, hahaha.

Oh and will the new chat be user friendly for phones and iPads?

 

I hope it does not get much more complicated than it already is....I have a hard enough time as it is....and I hate facebook and Twitter and all of those places......don't want to be part of any of them.....and I cannot get into chat here...I geta page that says to donate only.....?

If you don't log in with a FB for e.g then why would your posts end up there?

And don't you think Skip will let you opt in or out of that kind of link?

I want to know what happens if you quote me in a post and then share that post on Facebook or Twitter. I don't want my name is your posts there.

 

I would not be the one sharing posts on other platforms.
I wouldn't want that to happen to me, either.

A newer/fresher look and maybe a few more options is what I am looking frwd to.
Not sharing any and every utterance on Facebook etc (I imagine we would need to be FB friends to do that, anyway)

Could you accidentally click on the button and your ISP takes you right there? Or would there be a menu kind of thingy that asks " Are you sure you want to go to Facebook?"

 

I am presuming the function will be the same as 'sharing' - you have to actively find and then click. With a few other steps before any link is established.
You would have to be really lucky/unfortunate for anything to be posted you didn't want.
I would test a few things out first, the ask questions if I was not happy.
If sharing is so lax question Skip, IMHO.

I was very worried when I saw this thread,i am losing alot of VBB sites to VB4 and its sad.......... VB4 is ugly,slower and a disgrace to vbulletin!!

Im glad you have heard me over the months about it....... I leave any site im on that goes to that garbage!!

It wont be as nice as this BUT IT WILL BE 200000000% better than VB4!!

I can make a guess that the purpose would be to (eventually) be able to draw more-new traffic here from those places... Most likely....

Anyways, will just have to wait and see what new forum is like to see what I think... not judging yet either way.
