Magnets Implanted In Fingertips?

I'm thinking about doing this. Already ordered a 1mm by 3mm neodymium magnet. If I go through with it I'm gonna put it in the tip my left ring finger.

Anyone else here ever done or had this done to them?

 

im thinking that might cause problems with your bank cards when you go to swipe.

are the magnets you got ok to go into your body? Anyone who i know who's gotten it done got their implants from Sammpa Von Cyborg, he makes them specifically for body modifications.

The magnet I got is coated in Titanium Nitride? TiN. Its the stuff they coat hip implants with. I would go to a pro to have it done but I live in the middle of no where. So if its getting done its gotta be me that does it.

From what I've read, it won't effect cards or pc hardware. Also they can shield my hand in a MRI. As to "why" someone would do this... Google "magnetic vision".

I've got a lot of research still to do, and if I don't chicken out I'll updat later on.

 

Are they satisfied with the results? I hear of some people have no sensations at all from them.

 

And what do you do when your finger gets stuck to your car door... Call 911?

I have a piece of metal stuck deep in one of my fingers, been there for years... Feels really sickening when I get it near a strong magnet and it starts moving around. I can see the same thing happening, just in reverse, anytime you got near steel. (which would happen much more often than mine getting near a magnet)

 

if you have an old CRT monitor you can draw pretty colors on the screen with your fingers ..

 

i'm not going to bother googling this, but i am also stumped on what the benefits of it could possibly be. other than pulling off a few party tricks that may be cool once or twice, and then just seem kind of fucked up and gross. you know, just like having gauged ears and sticking a dildo through your ear at a party; it's kind of cool the first time, then people just start to think "what the fuck is wrong with this guy?"

if i were having ANYTHING implanted into my body, i would drive to wherever the nearest pro was located.
