This is THE best song on mainstream radio. I was shocked to find it. Look it up. It's great. If you don't feel this, you are heartless. If I wanted to be a hippie, this is what I would think it'd be about, supporting others' rights, speaking out, showing love.
I loved this song the first couple times I heard it (on public radio- before it went onto mainstream-regular stations)....then I heard it so much (cd player is broken in car, so for now just a radio in there), that it really started to annoy me.... but that's just because it was overplayed. It's alright. It's a good message...especially for hip hop.
yeah...I have only started listening to mainstream radio so even though I heard it a few times, I didn't really hear the words until just recently, so I'm pretty surprised to hear what it's actually talking about and I think that's awesome...I hope it has an impact.
I forget that my bf and I are lucky enough to live in MA where gay marriage is legal, but sadly still only a few states allow gay marriage the right to exist. peace and love! -Drew
Imma listen to this and tell y'all what I think. EDIT: Meh... not a bad song, I guess, aside from the cliche lyrics and tired subject matter. Sounds like a song that would get really annoying after more than a couple listens. To me, anyway. I get sick of hearing gay this and gay that.
I said Justin Timberlake's new album is "decent," and I might have said I like one of Lana Del Rey's songs a year ago or more. That doesn't necessary mean I like them as artists.
