Macaroni Salad

Bleeeehhhh at both macaroni AND potato salads. Bleh indeed!!!!!!

 

potato salad is okay. i do like mac salad & cole slaw.

there's this gourmet hot dog place up the street where you can get all different kinds of hot dogs & veggie dogs. their cole slaw is pretty good. their mac salad's okay. i haven't tried their "garbage plate" (called "the junkyard dog") yet because I can't imagine putting away all that food. But if I did I'd probably get the mac salad & beans with the plate.

for those who don't live in Rochester, the aptly-named "garbage plate" is our unique contribution to world cuisine. (hot dogs piled over mac salad and fries or baked beans or some other side dish and slathered with this disgusting meat-based hot sauce or vegetarian chili, in my case.) That, and Genny beer.

As a Rochesterian, I'm so very sorry.

Well I ended up making potato salad and a potluck pasta salad. The potluck pasta salad consists of tricolor rotini, zucchini, red bell peppers, sweet peas, black olives, red onion, cubed colby jack cheese, oregano and a basalmic vingarette dressing. Looks beautiful, haven't tasted it yet.

I'm not sure if I've had macaroni salad, but I love a good fusilli pasta salad with a light vinaigrette, chopped olives and ripe tomatoes....mmmm!

 

Damn you, Matt! Now we're all craving mac salad & it's your fault!

If I end up eating a veggie garbage plate and get a heart attack from all the grease, it'll be on your head.

 

Now I know how to seduce Rat...some good beer and macaroni salad...

 

growing up we never had cold noodles at home, so when I met my husband I thought it was weird that they'd do that... But I do like it now but not when its too cold... I like it fresh made.

And easy on the mayo.

And MAYO not sald dressing!!!!!!!!!
