    Yes, good advice.

I agree, although that dark green that works it's way in gives it a little bit of a tryptamine edge. I feel sorry for anyone that has to view my signature while on 2ci, it may cause temporary blindness.

I forget you guys can bust out some good stuff sometimes. I like that this place can be a good source of harm reduction and education :sunny:

Ha! Well, it's not like this stuff is without some dangers...

To avoid a 'bad' acid trip (I think 'difficult' is a better analogy tbh) - Don't take acid. You never know what turn it may take. BUT with confidence in your self, a good set (your inner being, ie good mood, positive outlook etc), and setting - some where you are comfortable, with people you are comfortable with (this is INCREDIBLY important IMO, nothing worse than tripping around some one you really dislike...), you are turning the odds in favour of you having a good trip.

Also have some Benzos knocking about. If it does go down a bad path, have 1 or 2 of them, and you will forget what all the fuss was about and fall fast asleep, or just be in a state of psycheedelic drowsiness, which IMO is a lovely feeling. I very rarely trip unless I know I have some, apart from very occassionally, but I have discovered I can handle what ever is thrown my direction , even if / when shit gets really weird (I am a bit weird maybe?lol)...

My top tip is DO NOT go into it with fear, go into it with an open mind and curiosity, and you will be rewarded. Do not be afraid of letting go, and letting the experience take you, you will come back, if necessary, remind your self of this fact. Fighting it can lead to some 'difficult' experiences. It sounds like you need to work on your state of mind a little before getting stuck in. Think about it like this:

As for the weed, that's up to you. I smoke copiously most of the time, and love to be stoned while tripping, although I find it can some what diminish the effects of both depending on the strength of weed / cid. Ketamine, on the other hand will take you DEEP, but I do not recommend this on a first, or even second go, get used to the effects before doing anything along those lines!

Well done for looking into it before diving in (its more research than I did before 2 drops of liquid! :dizzy2: Boy, did I learn a lot from that trip... I will have to write a report, even though it was 7-8 years ago, defo one of my most memorable, and least enjoyable trips, not that it was all 'bad')

The bit in bold sounds very.... Terence Mckenna-ish to me :) I agree, to an extent, about the 'soft' and 'hard' bit, but IMO, the only real way to get the 'hard' psychedelia you speak of, is to eat it, and lots of it. I had a two day experience after eating a few brownies from a batch I put 1/2 oz in (I DO NOT recommend putting this much in one batch of brownies, I am a massive stoner, and can handle it well). What was awesome, unlike other psych experiences I have had, is that I could SLEEP :2thumbsup:

Yeah, looking into a disco light in my living room wasn't a good idea! Although the visuals I had afterwards were INTENSE to say the least :sunny: Kids these days eh?!

Yeah, how's that going for you?

One thing I'd like to add to what primal said about going into a trip with fear: You have nothing to fear but fear itself. This is, of course, slightly untrue, but generally a good rule with physically safe doses of psychedelics.

You need to have a good sense of stability within yourself. Know how to stand still and observe.

I have not yet done it due to the fact that I am extremely broke and wanted to try shrooms first. I am hoping it will be a spiritual trip, actually, so I'm quite excited.

I will let all of you know how it goes :)

i agree. i personally like to research a drug as best i can before i take it, but i think most of the people that take LSD, and even most people that i've taken LSD with, don't go online and read about it like we do. my brother and my fiance both just took what i gave them - i told them about it, but they knew little to nothing about it other than that. some of my friends tried it before i did, but it seems like most of them trust me to do the research and tell them sort of what to expect.

and of course people in the 60s and 70s didn't have internet or many other sources to do research about drugs.

True. You guys today are lucky, I never had access to such information when I first dropped. Finding the voice of reason over government anti-drug propaganda was near impossible. Don't count on schools and the government to give you the straight facts.
