i hate that quote. i love the movie but always get pissed off when i get to the end only to hear his pessimistic closing.

the only reason this guy was allowed to make a movie about doing drugs is because it makes lsd and other drugs look bad. if it was not for censorship we would have better movies that make lsd look a lot better.

there is no way that a movie about how good lsd is for humanity would ever get a green light from our north american censorship laws.

i like the movie as it does uncover many truths about the drug world. its just that it is only one perspective and is not at all a healthy one.

 

thats your problem, trying to understand what enlightenment is from some book. you are confused.

all i did was say that i am enlightened. you are the one who goes on and on about perfection and how i am not what you think enlightenment is.

you get all hung up on what you think it means to be accepting.

you suggest that i should not consider myself better off then anyone because that means that i am not accepting them. what about the pimp, the murderer, the rapist, the thief, or the liar - although in the big picture i understand that we all come from the same place and are on our way to the same place, i also understand that at this point in time they are suffering big time and i am much better off, and it would be foolish not to see this.

you think that to be accepting means to keep your mouth shut. then you proceed to open it and make yourself look a lot worse then you are trying to make me out to be.

because of what alcohol is and that it only provides the user with a temporary none lasting sense of satisfaction, any one who is truly enlightened would not drink it. part of enlightenment is understanding that everything you do should be good for you in the long run, not just in the moment you are enjoying it.

for the record, i made my point and you couldnt handle that i consider myself to be enlightened and you tried over and over to convince everyone else not to listen to me because you think i am not accepting enough a person to trust as being enlightened. too bad you cant let people make up their own mind. only a complete idiot would think that i was someone to disregard based on what you have to say about me. let them make up their own mind. you are obviously very immature and only went to great lengths to prove that. most people did not need to hear you say over and over with no reason why that i am not enlightened.

People make up their own minds, if someone listens to what I say about you and forms an opionion of you based soley on that, then I they are sad.

i have most definitely been trying to change peoples minds, that is a big part of why i am on these forums in the first place. - to learn vicariously though others experience and to change peoples minds.

that is not an insult buddy,,, i would say that about any situation similar to yours because it is the truth. you had a kid before you were a mature adult - to me that is a burden for the child. i feel sorry for him... you are insulted because you dont understand why you in some way agree with me.
