It's as simple as this. Acid temporarily get rid of all your mental fog. The Fog that is created by personal greed, grief, stress, fear, ect. And this clearer state of mind... this more primitive way of thinking allows you to see things in your mind that have always been there. Does this realization make anyone a better person? I guess if they take those new discoveries and use them to their own potenial it makes them a very wise person and in their eyes, yes a better person.
I agree with this %100. It really opens your eyes to the "big picture" if you will. I was living a life filled with greed and wasn't happy at all. But i could never understand why i was unhappy. Then I dropped acid for the first time and it completely blew me away. I started realizing how small I really was and that i didn't really know anything. Since then, I have been living happier than ever and it really opened me up to other people.
For me, while doing shrooms, I loved everyone, Everyone matters so much to me. Afterwards, I still realize how important other people are, and such.
to put it into simpilest terms, LSD breaks down the barrier we are taught to build while growing up as a kid. LSD brings you back to a child like state, where there are no guards, no walls, no boundaries stopping you from being you. that is why some people freak out on LSD, because they are so used to being in a shell, wearing a mask, whatever you want to call it. its almost like some people forget who they truely are underneath the junk that the world has painted on them, and when they fry, they feel extremely lost and out of touch. that is why an insecure person shouldnt use lsd. this is off topic but heres an interesting fact: scientists have discovered that when a person is on LSD their brain movements are similar to an infants, which is rapid movements. Our brains are acutally working faster and learning quicker on LSD. The brain learns the most during the infant stages of life. (or i guess in this case, the frying stages too). - Tos
^ makes sense. I have the perception of a 50 year old man. So much perspective, so many trips, so much time left on this sacred ground; knock on wood :-D
everything. We must be the lesson, not the teacher. also i think ghandi said something like if you want to see change in the world you must first realize that change in yourself. or something.
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." That was the basis of my entire post on the first page  Namaste
lol my bad. way to make me feel stupid. i knew someone had said it, i just couldnt' remember who and if it was in this thread or not.
You are far from stupid my friend. I respect what you say very much and it often resonates within me as something I share with you. God bless and good health friend, namaste
i can't physically speak well when im tripping. i dont form complete sentences and my words get jumbled. but the person im tripping with gets it.
haha neodude funny you mention that. Same thing happens to me. Is just like spitting out random words. And even when you do manage to get a complete sentance out, it looses its definitive meaning anyway.
ditto well, for a while anyways, that "acid glow" kind of fades after a few weeks back in the real world.
