if your trying to say that lsd is just a placebo effect, you are quite wrong.

the mechanisms of action through which lsd enact itself are accessible without lsd, yes. but that doesn't change the fact that lsd will cause them too.

lsd is only in the brain for like 20 minutes after dosing, the rest is just after effects and a series of reactions. lsd is the cause of these reactions.

they can be accessed without the cause, but it takes a much greater mind.

and if you think a person can not tell the difference between the 700 people who were dosed and the 700 people who think they have been dosed, then how do you explain people getting bunk hits of cid? if they 'thought' that they were getting acid, but they really didnt, then shouldn't they have tripped? what is the difference between them and someone who gets real acid? im not exaclty sure what the premise for your arguement is. are you trying to say that lsd is not real -- and is a product of our society designed in order to enduce control -- and everything else is real, or that nothing is real and therefore lsd is not real as well?

Suppose I've never heard about LSD or any psychedelic or drug for that matter. Somebody slips some LSD on to my tongue while I am sleeping. I wake up tripping.

Am I tripping because they were expecting me to trip? Does it become real to me because they expected it?

Or, does LSD suddenly become real to me at that point, because I suddenly imagined it and allowed it to become part of my reality?

 

well its possible that it was artifical cheese. but that does not dismiss the fact that it does have a very real effect, and that it has profound implications. even if it is only artifical cheese.

Yes, they do! "LSD" is good for the economy. It creates revenue for the them.

 

I don't know about proof, but in my experience there is only the experience. I cannot take a tab and say "I'm hallucinating on LSD." more than I can lucid dream every morning and say "I'm dreaming." What is real is what I experience and even still when I awake from this state I know the non-existence of the dream reality and when I dream my reality is the experience of be separate from the physical/provable.

The mystery to me is how with the changing of my realities, however affected by drugs, ceases to seem real because I cannot distinguish in any altered state whether my state is altered unless I have consciously admitted I have "taken" a small piece of paper with no discernible alternate properties.

Did Alex Grey have the power to colorize human emotion before tripping? Is it less real because he has experienced hallucination and we have not? Would he still experience a reality with me in it if he'd never taken LSD and painted such art?

Once when "tripping" on LSD I stepped back into the 80s and linked trips with another person in the same place yet different time. Does LSD have to exist when I take it for me to hallucinate?
