so i tried lsd with like 6 friends 4 of these friends started tripping after half an hour and it lasted for 7 hours or so but for some reason me and another friend didn't feel anything from the lsd. can someone explain how this is possible ?
My guess would be either too low a dose or it wasn't LSD. Some people are more sensitive to LSD then others.
yup, you probably took a very low dose and your other friends may have exaggerated the effects that they felt.
7 hours is not that long for a LSD trip. I've had experiences that go double that time from a hit of good acid. It was not a full blown experience that whole time but I always knew I was at least a little high. So I agree it was probably not dosed very high.
I did see something similar happen one time with two friends. One swore it did nothing and was pissed and a hit right next to it had my other friend high for 15 hours. The person who said it did nothing had a tolerance of once a week use for a bit before that, The other no LSD in months. That is generly considered long enough to lower tolerance but maybe for him not enough to the true mental effect, It's often a lot more inward thoughts and felines and not so much the walls are breathing. But if 2 people with zero tolerance feel nothing and those who do 7 hours is strange.
yeah none of us had ever done lsd so tolerance on that point couldn't be it but there was a friend that said it was some kind of knock off because it had a slightly bitter taste and it normally shouldn't have taste at all
real LSD blotter can taste SLIGHTLY bitter, maybe from the ink, or from just being a piece of paper that has been passed around from person to person. the common LSD "knock-offs" or imposters are NBOMe chemicals. they taste QUITE noticeably bitter, and numb your tongue. when i tried NBOMe it was almost unmistakable how bitter it was, like alarms in your mouth bitter. they are also reported to maybe not work if swallowed right away (you have to hold NBOMe in your mouth for awhile). real LSD will work if you swallow it or hold it in your mouth, either way.
Often people exagerate or just flat out lie about their experience. It's especially common when with other people (social influence and what not). Placebo if you will. And some people don't experience anything maybe do to not letting the drug take you. I find that you need to ride with the drug for it to work. You can enhance your experience by working with it to create the experience. But you need to draw the line between coaxing the drug and lieing to yourself about it. It is not nearly as visually explosive as some lead it to be. I've tripped with someone who told me a fairy had landed on there hand and a person who said nothing was happening on the same occasion. The first individual most likely just lied and the second one clearly expected more than what he got, but I knew he was tripping because of the way he communicated his thoughts (extreme clomplexity and straying from normal thought patterns associated with that person.) LSD and its effects are a very sensitive thing to understand.
i would agree with a lot of what you say, and probably all of it if we are talking about a low dose ( which is probably what most people take for their first time ) with a good dose of L though, you don't necessarily need to let the drug take you for it to have effects. i mean, you should try to go with the flow, it will lead to a better experience, but at some point you don't really have to wonder "am i feeling it?" and strong visuals are one of the last effects to occur as you increase dose. first you get altered thought patters, increase in energy, various body feelings....visuals come with larger doses. but be sure you don't have a different drug, people!
