hmmm i have a friend thats kinda just 'clicked' in his head, hes alot different.

lsd is a real personality changer, if u like who you are. dont take lsd.
cause u will try and hold on to who u are while u are tripping.
when u trip u loose who you are, and somthing just 'clicks' in ur head, and your not the same after taking acid.
i am happy who i am now, so i dont want to take acid.

if youve got some psychological hangups, than perhaps if u have a good trip i will sort thro them and be better afterwards.
if ur serotonin is going thro a low patch, and ur depressed for no reason, or long term, chances are the trip will reflect that, and u may just sink into a worse tripped out void inside ur mind.

me and my friends may still have the same faces, but we have changed.

if ur in a relationship and u change, and they dont like it. then u will probbaly loose the relationship.
    theres alot to consider

Also, if you like who you are, dont ever read a book, watch a movie, in fact, dont ever leave your home again, and in fact go grab that knife in the kitchen and be a man and make sure you do the job right, cant go around changing that personality willy nilly now can we!

You have a completely backwards understanding of all this, thats why lsd has caused you tremendous pain. You think that the one who dies on LSD is one who must be cherished and kept safe. What you dont understand is that if that one can die, and there is still awareness there to witness it happening, then the one who died could not have been you. Let that ghost die, it was masquerading as you all along, while the real you hides further back, terrified of losing it. The point where you grow up psychicly is when you lose that, and realize this is a better place now, without that strange actor, and even when he returns, you no longer subscribe to his every thought and whim.

Youre like the kid who wouldnt let go of his mothers placenta during birth, killed his mother in the process, was finally rescued and came on the internet to tell everyone that being born is AWFUL and it caused you tremendous anxiety and nobody else should do it because something there wants to take you away from "who you are".

Most of this is a crock of shit. Effects on acid on different people differ greatly. If you of into a trip feeling depressed you might just get more intensely depressed or anxious and go into a horrible spiral. Acid is a perception modifier - True, for most it is spectacular - but with the wrong attitude it can be devastating and can linger far after the acid is out of your system.

If you want to try it to correct a negative aspect of your life be damn sure you have a good friend there who is not a newbie to acid. Dudley.------

The most sensible statement made in this thread so far.

The biggest fallacy of all of this is that LSD or any substance will miraculously help you out.
I understand that you have some real issues your dealing with, but going to a forum populated by people who for the most part have no real understanding of your situation and that are mostly very naive in regards to mental illness as well as LSD isn't the right approach. I generally stay out of these type of threads because I don't have the answer for you. I can sympathize with your pain but you really need to discuss this with whatever health care professional you are seeing. Taking drugs such as antidepressants and combining them with psychedelics to me just doesn't seem very wise.
Sure these substances can allow you a different perspective to view your situation from, but remember your life situations will still be there the next day.
You need to learn and deal with them without drugs then maybe something like LSD could be helpful.
Also a lot of responses in this thread treat your problems as if they were completely psychologically based. Chances are pretty damn good that your problems are physiological in basis and all the introspection, tripping and self-realization in the world won't change your particular bio-chemical make-up.
I wish I had an answer for you, but I would advise against trying something based on what people in this or any other forum tell you.
Your issues are real and serious and for all you know some of the people encouraging you to take LSD as an answer could be sadistic bat-shit crazy assholes who really hope you have a horrible trip and end up in a straight jacket. Take EVERYTHING posted on the internet with a grain of salt.
Do some research yourself. There have been studies done with LSD for anxiety/depression, look them up and get info from the source, not the half-baked bullshit I read here.

thats just a different way of saying ur having a big personality change. however u want to put it. it changes u. and can be detrimental to relationships... etc

iv seen the good and the dad side of lsd. if had amazing trips and amazing afterglows, and the opposite.
the thing is each time u trip, u rewirre your brain, and i can feel that each time. each time my consciousness gets skewed down a different perspective.
u kinda forget about everything and who you were, u can feel free. u can change a whole hell of a lot.

iv been in the state of mind that lsd was just the most greatest thing to ever happen to me. but i grew up, took a step back, stopped drugs, examined things from a more down to earth point of view. and looking back at it all. lsd is just a big trip. forget about it, it will just make u a bit crazy. but whatever.
