http://psychedelicfrontier.com/maps-completes-first-new-therapeutic-lsd-study-in-40-years/ Im happy a small group has taken a small step into opening a HUGE door!
Really makes me think about it.... As amazed as science was with lsd 40 years ago and how far weve come... The possibilities of what science with psychedelics can achieve today. From a science standpoint my main problem with lsd in the 60s would have been not having the internet for instant access to all of mans knowledge.
Have you ever taken LSD? For one thing it should make you realize the internet does not contain all of mans knowledge.
I never did LSD, but as a question of curiosity from those who have...what is it like? Do you see the other side? What do you learn? I asked this to someone the other night, and they said you see colors.....things are like cartoons.....but then they told me other people can freak out on it.....and have bad trips or something. I guess I would be too afraid to ever try, but make me feel like I have been there, too, and tell me what it is like...for real.....
Lsd isnt about what you see. You can see things, the other side? Maybe, Learn? Yes, a lot. For me though the most important things i recieve from my trips isnt as much the things i learn as things i question and realize i dont know. Lsd is hard to describe though. Ive seen it described better than i can but its just one of those things you should experience, if your ready... To describe it as "you see colors" gives you about as much comprehension of LSD as if you were a blind man and i told you the same thing. People think acid is about the visuals... The visuals are just a small part of THE EXPERIENCE.
The first coupla hours can be pretty disorienting, but after that you can sometimes find an unusual clarity. Also there is evidence that it can activate athletic parts of the brain. I know I did some pretty amazing things beyond my normal abilitys mountain trail riding on motorcycle and playing frisbee golf. It would probably be an amazing performance enhancing drug if a person could stay focused in the long term...things tend to be too hilarious to stay serious about for very long lol. I haven't taken LSD for probably 20 years but I have a lot of great memories and I have to say I believe I derived great benefit from my experiences. For one thing, LSD made me realize what a bitchin' place mother nature made for us to call home!
That is funny. I was thinking about what love is from the duplicate thread of this, and the expression....love is feeling like you are home came to me, and then I come here, and you used basically the same phrase speaking about the earth.
Function yeah but its a bit unpredictable... you take acid and you come up peak come down etc but its not.... ^ that shape... its more like __-^v^v^^*^vvvvvvvvv-------- lol after i typed that i just cracked up man but yeah im basically trying to say acid comes in waves. and each wave is a different experience. Theres been times ive had phonecalls on acid and been like FUCK answering that shit... an hour later.. yeah im good to talk im kind of sobered up... 5 minutes into the phone call im thinking *WHY THE FUCK AM I ON THE PHONE IM TRIPPING MAN* Also the athletic abilities question... Ive never personally played any sports or anything on acid but there was a famous MLB pitcher (dont know his name) but he threw a no hitter on lsd. Yep Dock Ellis of the 1970 Pittsburgh pirates threw a no hitter on lsd. Although after retirement he claimed he never pitched a single game without the influence of drugs lol
Mother nature too! Man on Lsd i feel as if i can litterally feel the life of nature.. I mean You can call this "effects of drugs" "tree hugger" whatever. People will be closed minded and people will be open minded. But I can honestly say with almost everything in nature there is a special bond you feel on acid.. and this isnt something you feel when you walk up to a tv or computer etc. All psychedelics just make me feel as if im an important part of this universe though. You say love is feeling like you are home? Psychedelics make me feel like i am EXACTLY where i should be.
