So I would assume based on this response as well as your response regarding leaving your body on psychedelics, that you believe you leave your body when dreaming during sleep as well? I can't envision states which loosen our higher order critical thinking and self analysis such as dreams or a psychedelic trip, necessitates leaving the body based on perceptions. I'd speculate most animals (mammals at least) are mostly bound to a type of loosened consciousness, based on their relatively underdeveloped pre-frontal cortex, frontal lobes, and other regions that appear to be responsible for higher order thought, and so it would likely follow If I was to invoke your lines of thinking, that they don't experience having a body, which seems silly to me.
