Love is like cosmic well, we are the buckets, filling ourselves with as much love as we can, and then throwing that love on the fire of society.
Cool analogy..but where does our love come from then? How do we fill ourselves with love and where does it come from?
Supposedly there are states of cosmic consciousness where you still have your sense of individuality, then there is a higher state where you no longer anything, you have become all, then i think there's a even higher state where you don't even realize your all, you just are.
not yet, but i'll get to them. yea, i meant more enlightenment and unification with god on the other side of death. but like you said, i guess we can never be certain what exactly awaits us, or what will happen to our sense of identity. just seems like if we lose our sense of identity after this life, then our relationships can really have no deeper meaning than just a catalyst for self-growth and greater discovery. maybe all it is, is our primal desires in the context of our current place in evolution. it just feels so strong, that it has to mean something. i mean it practically takes precedence over divine love, and unconditional love. i'm just hesitant to write something this powerful off as 'primal desires.' all we are is dust in the wind, or are we really? haha, thanks
There is an old saying, out of nothing came compassion. When we hate it is authentic, when we love it is not authentic, love comes from something higher then us, when we truly love we are gathering it from that eternal ocean of love and bliss that we sit in everyday, but are unaware of. Separated from a sense of duality. If we could actually see our heart, we would realize we are like little fishies swimming in a ocean of love. We can only truly love when we use our full being, when we gather from that ocean.
even without me giving you a witty and poetic retort, you should know this is complete bullshit yeah some DPT or mushrooms will get you there for a few hours. i dont know why you said "supposedly", have you not ever been there? most posters here have . . . its no more a "cosmic" consciousness than the one you have at work when you're talking with your boss.
i have been there, but its really strange, i still can't tell whats completly real and what is mixing in my mind with the mushrooms. the last time i did mushrooms i became the ONE. at that time when i took the mushrooms i would have told you i became god, i was god, and nothing you could of told me would change that. now that its been awhile though i have done so much research i second guess what was real or not. i learned that you can have astal reflections of actual cosmic conciouness. so you have the astral experience of reuniting with the one, but you did not actual, but it can also be mixed. i say my experience was mixed, some of what i saw was defiantly true, other stuff, may have been a teaching device, for parts of things i was not ready for.
thanks fellow old fart!(as my kids would refer to us) It is refreshing to see posts that are more than "if I take twelve hits of blotter one day then 300 the next will I still get high?" type of crap. I may be new to this forum, but been studying religion, mysticism, and psychedelics on both an academic type level as well as an experiential level for nigh onto 35 years. Smoked me first doobie, (remember when it was a doobie and an ounce was a lid) in 1974, first real LSD trip in 1976 on about 400-500mics, 3 purple microdots. Have experimented with various non-drug methods of altering awareness, as well as spontaneous mystical events. I have really always been fascinated by psychedelics and the range of experiences that can be achieved with them. I even spent time in Christian Pentecostalism. Saw and experienced things that cause me to seriously consider and compare all other systems against Christianity. My life is like the U2 song "I still haven't found what I'm looking for". Thats me, a nutcase in nutshell.
From what I've read, astral projections and OBE's aren't even real, they just appear to be real from the transition of sleep paralysis to the dream. Even on lucid dreaming forums, this question was asked (whats the difference between astral projections and lucid dreams) and no one could give the answer.
I heard it from a couple of different places, plus mixed with my own experience, it is plausible. But i mean i can see the distinctions in the realitys but really it is a finer line then most would believe.
Well i must say iam feeling pretty complete with that statement...Btw your signature is artistically brilliant...Iam crying with joy :cheers2:...
To that first sentence. No it doesn't, not neccessarily, to that last sentence I could not agree with you more.
from what iv expirienced id disagree. there is a big qualatative difference between ap and lucid dreams. the sensations and process of transisioning into the astral layer being the most noticable. perhaps the confusion between the two stems from the concious factor....it can be rather difficult to maintain awarness, and easy to slip into a dreamlike conciousness. i also never senced that most people on the lucid dreaming forums ever really had much success with astral travel. i rarely meet someone who does. not that i would call myself an expert...far from it. but iv been able to expiriement on a personal level a bit.
you keep chasing magic spells reading other people's magic words but when it rains you still get wet, right?
doesnt any amimal get wet when it rains?...I know i sure as hell do get wet, unless iam inside and lately ive been getting caught in rain storms
