Love is when every guard you've ever put up crumbles when you look into said person's eyes and when you hold them you know this is where you belong and you know you could never do a thing to hurt that person and nothing else really matters and while looking into their eyes you realize how alive they look and they say the same to you and it stays with you and doesn't let you go and you're willing to wait forever cause you're not really waiting anyways because you already found them.
It's also like when you've messed up things by coming from an unloving place, you always find there's that magic part in you that is able to heal whatever broke, and make yourself feel worthy again and happy with who you are. It is much about loving your own self enough.

What about love for your children? I find it all-consuming...I would fight to the death for them in a heartbeat. Once, while at a pool, one of my kids was having trouble so I jumped right in to help him. When I got out, my towel was still wrapped around my waist, sopping wet. It would have taken a split-second to pull it off before, but that thought never entered my mind, my son was all there was at that moment.
