what are you talking about? How do numbers come into it?

I meant that most smart feminists think that believing your brother over a stranger is objectively obliged.

    I could use some love

but I don't think it's a particularly useful protest tool. I mean, there are people lovign each other left right and centre, it's seen as pretty normal by the gov't. They aren't going ot see loving people as a cause for concern, or as a potential unrest, or even think that loving one another represents protesting a policy or concept or anything

    but I like love

Ghandi was a racist. He was a major political force in the ethnic strife responsible for the annexation of the Indian subcontienet into three states which were at war for 40 years.

You could probably say that the spliting of India into Pakistan and Bangledesh would have happened anyway, but it's undeniable he was a major influence on the political descisions that lead to the Indian Pakistani wars which have killed millions.

He also worked in South Africa to fight aginst racism. But not aginst racism towards the Africans, but toward the Indians in south africa. If you read the collected works of Ghandi, (vol 7) he says, "they (Africans) are a class of humans unknown amongst the indians." He also said the point of an Africans life is to trade enough cows to buy a wife. (Indian Opinion)

He did fight colonialism with non violence, and blaming him for the Indian Pakistani wars is probably a bit overboard, and he lived in a time where racism was normal, so he was average but I don't see why anyone would idolize him.

Of course, Dr. King claimed Ghandi as an influence on his philosophy, and Dr. King was probably one of the greatest people who's ever lived.

He did cheat on his wife, but lets be real with ourselves. He launched the civil rights movement and challenged the nations backwards ass mentality.

We're all probably bastards under a microscope. :D

Why not... get's 'em hot. :H

  5. assign a value to every talent, assign a value to a persons skill in that talent, assign a value to a person, pay a person based upon which of their skills they utilize (i.e. someone has a 10 in teaching which is a value 17 skill, but they choose to go and smith iron in which they have a skill value of 20 but since ironsmithing is not a fiscally valuable skill it is only assesed as a 2, so the person gets paid something like 9.50 an hour as opposed to like 17.50 as a teacher)

it would be a meritocracy, it would be based on skill, not "how well can you work the system to get a lot of money off other people"

Good and all, but again, how do you answer the feminst challenge that your meritocracy, (much like Plato's) is inconsistent with the reality of human nature?

  10. fuck human nature, if someone protests it, well it's a fair system, they can get shot in the street and hung\piked in the square.....

object lessons have worked wonderfully through history....

I guess it just represents the fact that...if we all joined together...sucked up our pride and put aside differences...we could accomplish so much more. More than the government can, alone.

And the more people who did suck up their pride and put aside differences...the more effective we could be.

    It's just an idea I had...and I think I like it.
