Over the last couple of years I've notice I seem to be losing stuff quite often, I either put something down and can't remember where I put it, or I lose it completely. Then the trouble begins, I start looking for it and then find something else I lost, this reminds me of something else I lost and I end up looking for that, at the end of the day I usually find all sorts of stuff except the thing I was originally looking for.
Many years ago I was presented with a badge by my local police air support unit, back in the day when air support was regional rather than National. A lot of units used aircraft themed badges, ours didn't. The reasoning being that you had to be involved with them to know the significance of the badge. I was given it as a result of having worked with them on many occasions and I was really proud of it, it was like a secret Masonic symbol, quite often when dealing with the police they'd see the badge and their attitude would change, you instantly became 'one of ours'.
Anyway I lost the damned thing, it fell off my jacket, about 2 years later I found it in a cupboard and once again it took pride of place on the collar of my coat. Several months later it dropped off again, this time it must have been outside as I've never seen it since. This losing stuff is really doing my head in, I'm sure it's to do with the lockdown, maybe my brain isn't being exercised enough.
