i was talking about me ms. self-centered. now back to me - lost my job almost a year ago, got kicked off unemployment, been working part-time jobs since then, wear the same clothes over and over cuz i don't have many, my sandals and birks have worn-thru soles, my car is falling apart, i do my grocery shopping at the food bank, no boyfriend, and for a special evening out i go to movie matinees at a second-run theatre. *bows* yay! :cheers2:
aw, that sucks ... severely. where did you work before? by the way I was in the wrinkled shirt loser club so was commenting on MY EXPERIENCE!~ :toetap05:
see...you always make it about YOU! lol i pretty much hated my job so it was a mixed blessing. however, i'm working harder now for less money, so that sucks.
Well, I don't have much (I've got some clothes and a guitar), don't currently have a job and no girlfriend, but I wouldn't say that I'm a "loser"....simply not a "consumer". Nobody is a loser, unless they have lost something and even then they have only experienced loss. Am I not what society says an individual should be? Not even close....I don't feel the need to compete with anyone other than myself, I don't consume, I make up my own mind 24/7 and most importantly I ask a lot of questions....So, if that qualifies me as a "loser" then I suppose I am, guess it's just the way you look at it. To anyone that really thinks they are a "loser", quit letting society tell you who you are and who you aren't. Live your own life without over concerning yourself with what people think of you, and throw todays notion of "success" (ie. lots of money and material goods) out the window and live according to the way you see fit (so long as you cause no harm in doing so).
I am unemployed too Actually, I've never worked. Oh but I am in a relationship. So I guess I'm a half loser.
You're 19 and have never had to work?????....hmmm we must have just grown up in two VERY different situations.
I don't have a job and every interviewer so far has given me grief about quitting school. Me and relationships? Oh boy is that funny.
Nah there's plenty of lazy kids in the states that are given everything by their parents, hence they never have to get a job. We call em trust fund babies....although some of em don't even have trust funds. Not saying that you're lazy, I don't know the situation that you were/are in...I just find it very interesting that's all. I've had to work since I was 15, currently unemployed due to my knee surgery and the fact that I'm moving all the way to the other coast of this country in less than a month. How do you provide for yourself?...I hate money, but I realize it's a "necessary evil" because one needs it in many cases to buy food etc... Plus, not a big fan of taking things from others and not being able to give back...especially parents, they always try to make you feel as though you "owe" them. And that "owing" them turns in to them trying to manipulate your life so you turn out just like them...at least that's what I've observed in 99.9% of family cases.
Yeah, I miss it at times. I'm glad I quit though. I HATED my major. I think I'll go back and finish the English degree and maybe I'll minor in art or art history.
Well if you had a serious romantic relationship online AND an online job you'd be a different type of loser so don't feel too bad.
I suppose it is a matter of perspective, to me the real winners of the internet are the ones who know how to use it but dont...
