Lorazepam 1mg

    is that like valium? my sister was prescribed that twice a day I take one too half tablet 5mg valium a day as needed

    Lorazepam is ativan. 5mg of valium is approximately the same strength as 0.5mg of ativan/lorazepam.

    No, valium is the only benzo (well, the only main one outta Ativan (lorazapam), Xanax, klonopins and valium) that deals in... well, instead of .5 mg, 1 mg, 2 mg, etc... valium 5 mg is equal to .5 mg of the other ones (like Ativan/lorazapam), so 10 mg of valium is equal to 1 mg Ativan (lorazapam)...

    and yea, it's pretty much the same. I actually like Ativan a lil better than valium actually, as I find for severe anxiety/panic Ativan works better than valium and valium works better for sleep. But, yea, that's just a minor thing... they really are just about the same in the mg's above that eqqsprog mentioned also.

    .5 mg does not mean 1 mg btw.... (your question)

    .5 mg equals a half mg.
