Downloading kicks ass with a cable modem... with 56k it takes roughly 13 minutes to download a 4 minute song. I downloaded a 24 minute version of 'The End' once and that took nearly 2 hours...

 

Yeah.. I can download 10:00 songs in about a minute.

 

this has nothing to do with whatever it was you were talking about but a 24 minute version of the end? that would be sweet

IMO its one of the 3 best Doors performances. They did it at MSG, on May 30, 1970 (same day Jimi had back to back shows at Berkeley). It's on their Essential Rarities cd and prolly some of their other later releases.

 

I have that... I only break out the doors every so often.

 

I listen to my their lvie version of 'Gloria' sometimes, and that 'The End', and 'Celebration of the Lizard'... it's their only songs where Robby's great guitar/Jim's fantastic voice drowns out Ray's horrible keyboards.

 

awesome man i have some of their greatest hits type cds but the end i have is just the standard like ten minute one

I've got a few thousand in the bank, which I will get when I move. If I move... I don't know whats going to happen, I still havent talked to the dude/s that own the house/apartment. And neither has my connection... maybe she has, but I haven't talked to her in a few days either
