same thing i was thinking...i mean why would you want to go with some random dude on the internet rather than one of your friends in real life? it'd even be a little different if he asked someone who he met on the internet awhile ago and at least knew a little bit. but he just signed up to the forums, posted, and asked if anyone wanted to go..lol..
