I've been interested in ghosts, paranormal, psychics, mediums, etc all my life. It has always fascinated me and I always had a great respect and belief in this sort of thing. I was taking to a medium friend of mine because I just lost my father and I wanted to talk to him again so desperately. After our conversation with my father, her and I just sat talking about everyday things. Then she tells me I have the abilities within me but they're just dormant. She continued to tell me how I see and hear things but I brush them off like they didn't happen or try to come up with some excuse that sounds logical to me as to why it happened. She made me a spell bottle necklace (I'm not sure if that's what it's really called.) It has herbs and crystals in it. It's really quite beautiful. I put it on last night and as soon as I did my eyes went black and I couldn't see. In big, bold, white lettering I saw Abigail. I couldn't see her but I all the sudden felt like she was a child. Maybe 3. She was scared of me because I'm an alive, human, adult but she also makes me feel like she's intrigued by me because she knows I can sense her. She likes to come close to me when I'm sleeping or if I'm engrossed in TV or my phone. She won't come as close if I'm awake as she does when I'm sleeping. Does this sound like something legit or all in my mind? If it seems legit, how can I strengthen my bond with her? Get her to trust me? I want to find out why she's still here and if I can help her. Any thoughts or suggestions?
If it's a manifestation of your own subconscious / psyche (I think they're called thought forms) or if it is a genuine spirit in it's own right .. I think only you can determine that for yourself. Typical guides are books .. both reading published works and >>writing your own<<.

you are describing a very powerful expereince, which is very unsusual if this is your first time experiencing somthing like this. you will find that it is not difficult to make contact with "young" spirits but it will be difficult to comunicate. this is because some of our personality traits cross over to the spirit realm. when you do make contact with this spirit, you can ptractice communicating in a more "instictive" way rather than with words or phrazes that your are thinking. you will have a very hard time trying to communicate with this spirit in a "logical" way which might be easier with other adults. Think of communicating with "feelings" vs "thoughts". If you choose to develope your dormant abilities, with more practice you will be able to communicate both ways more clearly, but it takes much practive.
