my dreads were started by crocheting. a friend of mine did them, and she's done several other sets of dreads the same way. i didn't know much about forming dreads, but i was excited to have an anti-wax solution, so i went with it. after i did a little research and i decided not to worry about the maintenance/upkeep, and see how they form on their own, and so far so good. the worst part about it was that it took FOREVER to do. she spent almost 3 straight days making my dreads.

Except for ripping which is both a necessary pain in the ass and a damaging pain in the ass....

Any route you take will require both some damage and maintenance unless of course you are aiming for a big beaver tail unidread.

lol since you wash every 2 weeks, that means you wash your dreads in 15 seconds? That a bit exagerated i think...
