I have a pretty strong suspicion the O.P. was not a cop but possibly signed onto another member's computer and made a new account to do some fun trolling.

 

its 3 pages long! awesome! Most of the people here are not dumb enough to trust someone they don't know/ trust. Those who are that dumb are taking a risk.

That is a very interesting point you brought up mothers love. I find myself asking that to myself when-ever I eat out. We are all told not to accept candy from strangers but we go to restaraunts where we dont know anyone and take all the food we can afford. Its funny how society works.

 

but if the waiters were coming up to you in the street, offering tasty lobster and steak for free from a plate they were carrying.. wouldn't you be a little suspicious?

so back to the point. I find it highly unlikely that police come on hipforums trying to score a connect so they could bust them. I'm sure they wouldn't be able to get a conviction that way, entrapment and intent and all sorts of legal mumbo jumbo. I do find it quite funny to read the replies of "I smell bacon" and "fuck you pig" though. seriously, if a cop has nothing more productive to do than to come on here and try to bust some kids for smoking weed, then he deserves sympathy, not mockery.

 

Yeah and cops wouldn't go on Craig's List posing as prostitutes either....hmmmmm.

1st off the cops arent here tryin to bust ya for smoking, theyre trying to find whos dealling..
there is the question of jurisdiction though, so wouldnt be local cops doin it, but perhaps dea might

i can pretty much guarantee that both those posters wont go beyond the 2 and 3 posts they got now, because they were cops fishing for a bite..unfortunately the only ones they'll be able to bust is some 14 or 15 year old wannabe dealler who just thinks its so cool to be deallin they take all sortsa stupid risks
we've had a few of them already, and some are dumb enough to reply to these idiots even after dozens of warnings

 

I guess I just have a hard time believing cops are that stupid. might as well say something like "hello fellow drug addicts, I am looking to acquire some illegal marijuana cigarettes. do you have any to sell me? I assure you, I am a drug addict, just like you."

it just seems like such a waste of police resources. you'd think they'd want to go after something bigger than kids dealing weed. doesn't this sort of thing fall under entrapment as well? I suppose if someone's dumb enough to fall for this sort of sham, they're going to get busted sooner or later anyway.

 

But remember the pork like to trap the user and trade up to the dealer and hope to trade again for the supplier.

entrapment isnt entrapment unless it fits certain criteria, dont you see deallers getting busted every day for selling to undercovers?

my initial thought was what stinkfoot suggested, or maybe someone honestly trying to score (doubtful, especially now that the OP has vanished)

on the off chance that the OP was actually a cop, this is a good question. I'd guess if it's a cop, he's doing this on his own time because he's desperate to increase his arrest quota because he's a shitty cop in the first place, which leads back to the stupidity of trying to set up deals online.
