I also just bought a couple of book by A horror author called Ramsay Campbell. I’ve never heard of him before. I’ll read them after Cujo and share my thoughts.
The Bachman Books collection: Rage, The Long Walk, Road Work, and the Running Man Written by Stephen King but under the nom de plume or pseudonym Richard Bachman (Bachman from Bachman-Turner overdrive) My favorite is The Long Walk Btw Every time I read the title of this thread I’m reminded of Judith Rossner’s novel Looking for Mr. Goodbar
I’ve read most of his books and short stories. He has a unique writing style that few others have mastered. A few of my favorites are The Dunwich Horror, Colour Out of Space, and The Rats in the Walls, as well as the tales (two of which I’ve mentioned) which make up the complete Cthulhu Mythos
I read Pet Sematery last summer. I remember in the introduction King said it was the book he finished and decided even he had gone too far this time lol. His wife found it through, and said it was too good not to publish. I think IT would be the scariest for me. I don't read a lot of horror, but when I do, it's always King.
I had to stop reading IT I couldnt really get into it for one, but also I was getting very fearful of my shower drain
Lmao I saw the first film adaption when I was 9 years old and was the same! Think I literally jumped in and out of the shower for the next six months hahaha.
House of Leaves got under my skin something fierce. Would think about it for weeks after I finished it.
I am planning on checking this out, I keep hearing more and more about this book. So I will definitely have to purchase this one.
I just started reading The Shadows.. enjoying it so far.. bought it because of friends' recommendations.. check out the synopsis.. see if it's up your alley
Misery by Stephen King (way scarier than the movie) Verity by Colleen Hoover (creepy vibes more than scary, but you'll find it hard to sleep)
Thank you for all the book suggestions, I'm planning on getting them sometime soon. I'm a huge reader and always go to the next book, once I'm done the book I am reading.
