Forest Hills took this to the home field of Brookhaven and performed it 2 days after the funerals of the Brookhaven officers

Great more right-wing conspiracy crap that this was deliberately done to demean the lives of the police officers that were shot and killed.

Not every idea is a good one, and this was a bad idea from the start.

No doubt it was done with tongue & cheek, but comedy is a series of hits and misses, no comedian has ever gone on stage and every joke that came out of his/her mouth was funny.
Some jokes hit the mark, and others are simply done in bad taste.

The Mayor Chokwe A. Lumumba of Jackson, Mississippi says that the band director has been suspended.

Lumumba did not blame the students directly for the display many found offensive. "While I do not believe that there was a malice intent on behalf of the students that participated in this halftime show, I understood that we are ultimately not defined by the things that we set out to do but rather how we respond to the things that actually do take place," he continued. "It is the responsibility of adults to offer guidance to youth. Our students should have been instructed that this was neither the time or place for that performance.” JPS band performance outrages Brookhaven in wake of officer shootings
