People always ask if im letting me hair grow... Its long. dumb question... I just tell em i dont cut it...

My long, unaltered hair is my favourite feature.

 

My hair is now short and I am no less a hippy than I was when it was long. It's not about conforming to anything including a look.

 

yeh, itz ah matter of degrees, bachlor, master or real hippy.

 

I have short dyed hair. I dont consider myself a hippie.

My question to you is- What does it matter? Do you treat a non-hippie any diffrently than anyone else?

This makes me sad. One of the major "hippie" values is to do what makes you happy -- what makes you feel like a complete, loving individual. Someone who is true to who they are inside.

I have a "riot grrl" haircut [as it's so often labeled] and it's green. And I have piercings.

There are plenty of flavors of hippies.

eh real hippies suck anyway, just old bliss ninnies. Long hair is beautiful and should be appreciated as an accomplishemnet, not a badge of inclusion in selective society, but hey I was born in 73 after being "hip" defined everything I would have to think for the rest of my life. Thank god(jah , allah, krishna, Siva, the doornob). I get to have my own opinions.

I guess it is, but I can´t say metalheads are that open-minded. they are fun to be around with and in my opinion they listen to really good music. but my more open minded friends don't have long hair at all. i'm really careful with judging people by their looks..

 

So to be a real hippy you have to have long hair huh? Sounds like a kinda dumb club to me.

 

General consensus is that, by my actions and beliefs, I'm a God Damn Hippie (in my family's words). But I keep my hair short. *shrug* I just think I look nicer with short hair, AND it keeps out of my face when I'm walking along the road. So I hack it off when it starts growing past my chin.

 

Save money on haircuts.

 

No matter what length my hair is, it's always been a freak flag, lol. It's twisty, frizzy, and totally wild n freaky. My mom loves it, talks about how that hair used to make her so nauseous when she was pregnant for me, lol. I used to despise it when I was younger because it's difficult to manage, but then I stopped trying to "manage" it and it's au naturel, and I love it. Freak flags are not about length for me. Some people can have very long, and completely non-freaky looking hair. lol

 

You should see my car. It's the ultimate Freak Flag.

my hair was almost down to my ass and i cut it
dont plan on cutting it for another 2 years.

 

I haven't had a haircut in over a decade. It hasn't gotten any longer in four or five years.
