Physicists break record in time crystal research (msn.com) Time crystals are a new invention, that trades time for space in a crystal lattice. Imagine a crystal with one atom missing, and the others dance through time to make up the difference. In a line, they will hop around, but this new time crystal lasts 40 minutes, 10 million times longer than any other yet. Of course, the atoms express particle-wave duality, making it easier for them to trade time for geometry when entangled. This one lasting for forty minutes has already revealed chaotic physics when the crystal finally melts. All they're saying about it for now, is they're getting ready to measure the chaotic physics, which they're already familiar with. The ability to trade space for time, means possible anti-gravity and myriad other technology is possible, including room temperature superconductivity. Its integral to my own work, which leverages the human brain to do the same thing.
