It's very interesting. It's about a professor that has a lusty-torrid affair with his wife's daughter. (The wife dies and the affair really gets heated and quite dirty.)
_________________________ Now the sexy older man sounds nice. I liked much older men when I was 12 and 13 in fact I once fell for a guy that was 35 when I was 13. (He was on tv and no he didn't know me and I think he had underwear older than me but what's your point? lol) Anyway, the movie showed the guy dating, then marrying the girls mom. He becomes infactuated with the girl while he is still dating the mom. When he finally marries the mom he has already begun a sexual affair with the girl. (She's 12 by the way.) The mother died. (I don't know if it was murder but the movie kind of hinted at it.) Anyway, the guy, to me, is creepy. He's insanely jealous about every guy Lolita comes close to and he's always touching her.(yuck) I don't think I could have handled that old guy pawing me that way.
I've read the book and I liked it, although I like some of his other books better. I personally thought that she was a bit of a weirdo.
I read the book and saw the newer version of the movie. At first you think the guy is sick but than you see how it unfolds and by the end you feel sorry for him when she leaves him and gets pregnant by another guy. The sadest part of the movie is when he was paying her for sex and she was saving it to runaway from him adn when she told him he was honestly hurt. You sympathize with both of them. It's a fantastic movie-very tastefully done.
