I took a logic class in 1998. It relates to correct reasoning, not truthful statements. And sometimes it doesn't make sense. "All green Martians wear purple pajamas, Stan is a green Martian, Therefore, Stan wears purple pajamas" doesn't make sense. But it is logical. While "All presidents of the United States are Americans, Joe Biden is an American, Therefore Joe Biden is president of the United States." is all true. But it's not logical. That called inductive reasoning and it is a common error made in logic. Creationists use inductive reasoning to prove their argument all the time. But we needn't get into that. So do people who try to use science to prove things like, prayer works. Because they prayed a hundred times. And that one time they prayed, their prayers were answered. But we needn't get into that either.
Without the truth, "correct reasoning" becomes Nazi propaganda. Formal logic dates back to the infamously corrupt Persian Empire, who invented dualism, and was designed to complement their self-contradictory grammar, making it even easier for the biggest flaming idiots alive to get away with lying more often. The simple truth is, the French recently proved that information doesn't obey causality, in the everyday world, establishing once and for all, that formal logic is about lying, and its easy enough to automate the truth. The fastest growing religions in the world today, incorporate Aristotelian logic, while half their congregations still claim the sun revolves around the earth, because formal logic is all about lying and hypocrisy. Believe it or not, Militant Atheists support Fundamentalists, trashing out the dictionary, and promoting pseudo science. The simple truth is, the truth only hurts for a reason! It does make logical sense, as such it is valid logic, but the first premise can not be confirmed which makes the argument void. In this one both premises are correct, but the conclusion is not logical as not all Americans are president of the United States.
