They never blunted off, and the method was DHHQ (OMGZZZ NOOO! WHY DON"T YOU CUT THEM OFF AND START OVER DUMBAZZ THE WAX WILL KILL YOU!) for 6 months then the do nothing but wash technique for the rest.

I'm being serious btw, Did you end up trying to wash the wax out all crazy like or just go from waxing to not with no drama attached. Would also like to know how much and how often you waxed if you don't mind repeating your self, i'm sure you've told every one once before.

    peace.

yeah I'm curious too do you feel like the wax hindered your dread progress like everyone says it will? Or did it help?

I have coarse, thick, curly hair which never knotted on its own. I tried neglect for 6 months or so and not a single knot formed. I bought the kit, backcombed my hair, used just enough wax so you could feel it but not see it, and only waxed when they felt like they needed some. I never tried scrubbing out the wax, I just quit using it. I never felt like it was hard to wash out (came out after every wash) and I feel it helped my locks form up by keeping some control over where and how my hair knotted. The wax held the loose hairs in place and helped keep the backcombing in place so it could compress and tighten. I really think over waxing is the reason so many people have problems. The only thing I wouldn't do (if i were to do it again) would be to use rubberbands because I missed a few when I removed them. Those bands ended up disintegrating into a terrible goop that had to be cut out.

some freshly waxed locks (I remember waxing them that day because we were on our senior trip and going on a dinner cruise and I washed them that day)
