Little things.

This morning I opened my purse up to find an empty gum wrapper crumbled up in the bottom. I opened it up, and a silver ring fell out and on the inside a short note was written. It read :
"You are one of the coolest people I've met in a long time. If not the coolest. I like spending time with you. I'm giving you my ring so you'll have to see me again to give it back. Love Dallas"

Now, I've been having a hard time adjusting to my move to the city. I don't know many people here, and have been extremely lonely as of late. So this weekend my good friend Myles took me out to spend the entire weekend with him and his friend Dallas(whom I've only met one before).

I felt so much better after having Myles invite me out specifically cause he knew I was down. But finding this note in my purse after I got home just made my day. My entire week even.
After dealing with a traumatic move from 99% of my friends and family,going through the culture shock of moving from a small town to the big city, and having to deal with a lot of heartbreak....this small gesture has totally turned my head around. I feel like I'm gonna be alright.
I don't think either of those boys will ever know how much that means to me.

That's so wonderful. I know how it feels to move to another city, or to another country even, and leave all your friends behind... It can be pretty damn lonely. But luckily there are lots of new wonderful people to meet and make friends with.

We're just friends. But I'm beginning to think he might have a bit of a crush on me.
But yesterday when I phoned to thank him, he was very short on the phone.
So who knows.

I wonder if this guy Dallas knows that he took a risk of having you simply throw out the gum wrapper. I mean, the chances that someone will discover a gum wrapper in her purse and decide to look inside it?... weird.

Well, either he's a player, and he does this kind of thing as a calculated move to get a bunch of girls hung on him, or he likes you.

I think it could go either way. But it's possible that being short on the phone is either a tactic he's trying to play, to make you work for it, or he's shy and nervous about how you took the ring-thing. Did you indicate that you had found it, or is he still wondering if it turned up?

I know he's not the type of guy that would do something like that just to get ass.
I'm beginning to think that he thinks that I have feelings for our mutual friend Myles, and that's why he's not pursuing.
Which I don't. I love Myles and want to be around him all the time just cause he's such a freaking wonderful person, but that's different all together.
Either way, I'm gonna make him a thank you card. With lots of glitter.
