one of my good friends has a little brother that has always had a big imagination and recently he started saying some things that are little disturbing. He claims he met a man called the shadowman when he was one year old, since then it has followed them to their new home and has been around the little boy for about 5 years. The boy claims that the shadowman tells him to do bad things and shadowman does bad things himself. He even says that the shadowman has thrown him out of his bed in the middle of the night. i know small children often have strange connections with spirits but i also know that this kid has a wild imagination. do you guys think this shadowman could be an evil spirit? if so, is there anything that you would suggest we do to help the situation?
He's six and has a wild imagination like all six year olds. I used to tell people I had a 30-something-year-old wife at home when I was his age.... in fact one of my imaginary friend's was named Shadow. except he was a cop.
Adults in this day and age are programmed by society and are usually so blocked spiritually they tend to view paranormal happenings as complete nonsense and wild imagination, only accepting it as truth if they expierence strange phenomena themselves! This is quite a sad state to be in really, almost akin to being blind to the world around you! Fortunately children are much more open to such phenomena due to not being programmed by society untill a later age! Imagination is not a negativ trait! Believe in what he says and be supportive and trust your instincts when he presents his stories for you! Ask him how he was dragged from his bed! Ask him a few days later the same question! Do the stories match or is it a different account of the same story? He could be telling the truth and if no one believes him then sadly he will be alone to confront something which could turn out quite nasty! Just because you do not see something, does not mean it does not exist!
I agree with Lunis. Take him seriously. Get some help from someone local who deals with this or get some good books on this to help him through it. Whether it's his imagination or something he is genuinely experiencing is something you can't know until you respect what he's telling you and actually look more into it. If you ignore it how will he ever be able to trust that he can say something like this to you again?
no these people literally hallucinate. obv treating it should be with more delicate matters. even believing him. He's a little kid afterall. Once in a while I'll here ghost stories from what I considered very normal ( 'average,' pls don't get offended by my use of normal) who don't' get visions at all and it makes you think... But I'm skeptic. I think the kid just has a condition where he gets strange urges and it manifests into shadowman.
Shadow people are a widespread phenomenon. I've never met anyone who knows exactly what the fuck they are. I had visits from them as a kids but never heard one speak. There is a video on youtube of a shadow passing in front of a doorway, it is a clip from the show "My ghost story: caught on camera" and what this being does in that video is what I experienced on many nights as a kid. It never entered the room just walked back and forth at the threshold of the doorway. I think this is it but I can't watch the video myself because my pc is running slow at the moment due to having satellite internet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yXTqJNU7SI"]Apparition in the doorway - YouTube My daughter saw one about a year ago and was inconsolable for about 3 hours. She was taking a bath and it materialized in front of her and just looked at her. She said it was blacker than black and was shaped very pointy like the batman and superman animated series. The way the characters have pointy boxy chins and squared features in general but it was totally black. Anyhow she screamed and it became an amorphous blob and shot away from her. I did the best I could to comfort her but she was freaked. Screaming and crying and asking me with her eyes real big and terrified "daddy what was that?" "Is it gonna hurt me?" I didn't have the answers. Thankfully we never saw it again but my daughter slept in my room for months after that. There is a site where information is being compiled that was started by a woman dealing with these things, in an effort to hopefully find a pattern with these sightings and try to better understand them. http://www.shadowpeople.org/ There is a podcast interview somewhere with this lady and it's very interesting, I'll try to find it and post the link. It is of course possible that the child you are talking about is either disturbed or has a vivid imagination but I wouldn't be so quick to write it off.
If it was a happy imaginary thing, it would be all perfectly normal. The fact that is it telling the child to do bad things means red flags. The fact that it 'moves locations' with the child is another red flag. What is the child's family health history? Best of luck to the kiddo!
Whoa!! That's spooky for sure. The only experience I've had was second hand. My grandmother saw her mother appear in front of her up in the spooky attic in the house in which I was raised. When her mother began to speak, my grandmother said she fled! To add: I hated going up in that attic--my hair would stand up and I would RUN down the stairs and always felt there was something JUST behind me.
Makes perfect sense. When the dead decide to hang around instead of going deeper into death and take up residence in the homes of family members, they will often find a place to call their own if they are able to do so. A large closet, a basement or an attic for example.
Here’s everything you’ve ever wanted to know about shadow people but were afraid to ask https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6AlDlN5sqY"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6AlDlN5sqY Hotwater
