Well yes. Lots of posts aren't even something that can be agreed or disagreed with, like a picture or a joke. It's stupid to have such an ambiguous function in communication, maybe.
The like button has its advantages but also its disadvantages. I prefer to have both a like and dislike button (as we used to have), or neither.
The problem with liking posts be that if I like someone's post the adjacent poster may think I don't like theirs. That is certainly not the case. I like an awful lot of posts here but I'm actually a bit shy to say so oftentimes.
