Like warm Apple i

On the way to work today, passed, hundreds, hundreds, lining up outside the Apple store for new iphone.

Lining up for hours, some no doubt camping overnight, for something that isnt even a new model, its just an 's' that will be half price in 6 months, doesnt seem tohave anything new, aoart from a fingerprint scanner ( woô exciting)

Dafuq?

 

As an iPhone owner myself I laugh at those fools. I just order online.

 

Some people get off if they are the first to have something new. I often have to disappoint someone who wants to show off their new gadget to me, especially if it's Apple related.

 

There ain't no half price with that company.

 

People generally don't pay the full price with these things solely for the product but also for the brand and the novelty. That's why if you really want such a product you better wait at least half a year. If it's a good product there may be cheaper alternatives, if it was not so special at all the same product of the same brand will be cheaper.

Lining up for Star Wars 7, I get, probably be doing that myself dressed as a storm trooper.

Lining up for GTA V I get, hrs of fun for the whole family

But lining up for this shit? Seriously

Wasting time waiting for the new iPhone, wasting time on here. Who am I to judge.

 

I didn't get the lines for GTA 5 either. I got it on tuesday as well (day of release) without making a preorder or something. I just went out the door about 4 o clock in the afternoon, heard in the store people were there lining up for that game since midnight. Yes, it would probably sell out that day but they would have restocked it the next day Standard price in stores here is €60, got it for €47. I assume the whole standing in line thing for a new game, movie or book is just a fan thing. 'Fan' comes from fanatic after all :2thumbsup:

 

I honestly don't get waiting in line for anything! Patience, children, Patience!
If you wait for something there are benefits- like, usually the first model to come out of something has glitches, and it's expensive. By waiting you get it remarkably cheaper, and can hear first hand reviews about it and decide completely if you really want to spend your hard earned $$$ on it.
What are the benefits of getting something the day(/after) it comes out?

My poor friend and her boyfriend both work at phone stores, so they're working open to close today. And they're getting limited shipments of the new iPhones, so they're going to run out (probably already have by now). I'm just glad we went to town to get our crap done yesterday because between the iPhone release and the fair being in town, it's going to be crazy crazy.

 

its just a way for friends to spend a few hours hanging out shooting the shit.

im sure there are a few loners that feel like they need it now and cant let the sheeple get it before them. these are the people that should be on the watch list when it comes to buying guns.

 

but people with the newest latest greatest phones are guaranteed a happy sucksexfull life

 

I know bbad. When my phone was new i was happy and sucksexfull. But now that its a year old im depressed and barely scraping by.

 

I smile when they release a new one as I know those people are going to be frustrated as can be trying to work the new one and get the apps they need.

i have an "old" phone.. a dumb phone or whatever. you think I care? at least it has a keyboard. i had this girl feel sorry for me and she was going to give me a phone to put my sim card in.. odd. especially considering that she grew up in a stone hut in a refugee camp.

then the other day people were bitching about their fancy ass phones and comparing this and that and its just like.. i dont get it.

 

id love one that can access internet through cell system but i cant afford the data plans...major rip off
