Last night I burned with some friends and the weed was light brown in colour. I thought it was going to be sooooo shit. It had a weak chronic smell, in fact, it smelled a little like shit hahaa. I asked if it was skunk but it wasn't. I said to myself "ok, this is going to be fuckin bush". on the contrary, it was actually good weed and it got me stoned pretty well.

    Moral: Don't judge a bud by it's colour...or smell :)

Expensive? Not really. $40 for a half quarter.

What is a "half quarter"? Do you mean an 1/8th? Because if you got a quarter or a half oz for $40, it was schwag and you must be pretty new to smoking.

    "$40 for a half quarter"

that's 40$ an 8th...isn't exactly cheap, and from what you describe of it, it does not seem to be all that quality.

Appearence does matter, it's an indicator. Not being materialistic but like cars you definitely would prefer to have a Z3 than a ford escort.

Dank bud comes in all sorts of colors. For instance Bog Lifesaver is almost white.

And the Z3 could break down 1 block from the guy you bought it from, while the Escort has no problems at all and rides fine for years. Looks don't mean shit. I have been growing my own buds for a good while now. The strains genetics are where the potency comes from. I grow shit that would put most of you teenage smokers in a coma or scare you because of how potent it is. I grew a strain called "Neville's Haze" outdoor last year. I gave some to a friend of mine that has been smoking for over 30 years, he couldn't handle it. It's a very hallucinagenic strain. It looked crappy and smelled like sour ass, but it is soooooo potent that it took me quite some time to finish it. There is an actual strain of bud called "Cat Piss". It is dirt brown and smells like cat piss, but it puts you on another planet. Do some research dude. Here are some links to my current and past grows....:

No it's not, not all the time. I know Bushy Old Grower (BOG) and have grown the Lifesaver strain. The "white" you see is the resin building up and not all Lifesaver females look like that. What you probably saw was the best pic/plant he has of his strain strain. The correct growing environment is highly needed for a plant to produce at it's optimal ability. There is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more involved than just the color....jeeze.

man the z3 would go for years beyond your dreams....if maintained well....whereas the escort in the same situation would at most live 9 years

Your just not grasping it.....hehehehehehehe. Looks don't mean shit when it comes to buds. If you guys want to believe that the color/appearance is an indicator, enjoy not knowing what you're buying.

I know, sorry for my stupidity. By the way, have you by chance heard of Black Domina? I hear that's a mind blowning strain. I forgot who the breeder was though.

You have a very good point there. However the good share of very potent buds look very beautiful. I smoked strains from shops in Dam, Berne, and the cannibus club in oakland and like you pointed out some got me very paranoid where the normal street stuff would not..... However i'm only a patron not an experienced grower like yourself.

Nice pic, but that girl is more on the White Widow side than she is Black Domina.

Is it just me or does that look like a awfully small pot for that plant. That looks like a one gallon pot.

If it was grown from a clone instead of seed, it will have plenty of space. A clone will grow rom the point it was clipped at. IOW, if a clone was taken a few weeks into flowering, it will start to grow like it is already in flowering....it doesn't need a vegitation period, which is where 75% of the root mass is grown.
