i laugh at the face of religion - it has noface, a stupid book that is just painful to read. religion is a joke, laughed at by only the people who get the joke, the confused ones live by it, its easier for theire fragile little brains to know someone is always looking out for them

 

While I think you are an ok kid, I must say this is fucking rediculous. I was atheist for most of my life, and have sat and pondered religion and science while on mushrooms, lsd, and other psychs 100's of times. I have sat and pondered completley sober. I used to "get" the joke, at times even adding jokes to it. Then, 1 day, it all made sense and I realized how much of an ass I had been for so long. No, not every religious person is correct, it is all perception and opinion. Your opinion is just as valid as the next persons, but that doesnt make anyone right. Wu Tang

its my oppinion, it shouldnt offend you afterall, 'god' gave us freewill, so why not use it . i just dont see how it could be possible. man someone here had or still has a great quote in their sig, somethign about how cavemen did some amazing things, but no-one cares, just like in 1000 years no-one will care what we did. maybe if our species survives that long (highly unlikely to survive to 2200) they will laugh at such beliefs & all.

green, what exactly do you mean by 'religion'? You seem to be talking about a christian, muslim, jew, etc. religions with holy texts? or? belief in a higher being in general?

i say. i don't bother with relgion in general. i can't make people change their beliefs and realize they've been worshipping made up shit their whole lives, because that would be cruel. religion would have to be phased out after a number of years.

i just live my life to the fullest, the way I want to, without getting into TOO much trouble. when I see that car coming to hit me, or I'm falling off some cliff or however I die, and I see my life flash before my eyes, I want to be laughing until my heart and brain stops. then whatever.

 

^^ I hear that I-foote, I personally am agnostic, which is the belief of lack of evidence to prove any religion. So I'm not saying it is impossible for there to be a 'God', but I am not saying there is one. If there were more evidence, then it would be a lot easier to distinguish.

exactly, I can't wrap my head around "God", and religions. the bible was "the greatest story ever told". give me some drugs and time and I could make up a religion and try to get followers, and my "bible" would be fuckin sweet let me tell ya.
the whole thing is definately a mind-fuck. there may be a greater power out there, and proving it would be extremely difficult. i just can't put my beliefs into something that may or may not be true.

I think everyone has the right to believe in what they want, in whatever part of there lives they want. I myself am an atheist, and probably always will be. But I've learned it does nothing to try and belittle someone because of there faith, aslong as they don't preach to me about it I'm fine.
