In an astounding display of naked prejudicial bias, Trump's SCOTUS has repeatedly promised that any challenge to Obergefell v. Hodges or Lawrence v. Texas will be welcomed with open arms and given a very sympathetic hearing. The United States Senate has so far confirmed 234 Article III judges nominated by Trump: three associate justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, 54 judges for the United States courts of appeals, 174 judges for the United States district courts, and Federal judges serve for life. Trump has appointed more than 25% of all Federal judges, and flipped several district and appellate courts MAGA. His appointees are also much younger than in the past, and will be perverting the American judiciary for decades to come. The term "kangaroo court" is not an exaggeration. His Project 2025 will establish a christofascist theocracy where no one will be safe but straight cisgender white evangelical males, and their neo-puritannical social norms will be enforced by the Alito-esque courts and the MAGA cult's knuckle-dragging sturmabteilung. We're well and truly screwed. The Trump Effect: How 2016 Campaign Rallies Explain Spikes in Hate | PS: Political Science & Politics | Cambridge Core,
From the moment I learned that the reason why guys have sex with each other is because it feels good, I lived in a time where homophobia ruled the land with great hate, disdain, and violence toward anyone who was homosexual or even accused of being homosexual. Being bisexual, in my neck of the woods, was a joke; it was said that anyone who'd go both ways was out of their minds and, as such, I found reason to not let my budding bisexuality be known. Right up until one moment when I was 15 or 16 and a guy I had had sex with ran around telling everybody that we did and... I didn't care that he did this dishonorable thing and while I caught some flack about it, I had realized that nothing they were going to say would change the fact that I was bisexual - and anyone trying to do something found out that I wasn't the one and painfully so. I had been keeping track of what I called "The Sexuality War" and there were so many men and women who suppressed their sexuality out of fear of what someone else would say and while I understood that I also wondered why they would choose to be less than what they really wanted to be and all because the world was stupidly homophobic. So, now, this motherfucker who, for reasons I still don't quite understand, is back in the White House and doing everything he can to roll America back to the 1950s... and when I was born and I very much remember the utter hatred the homophobic people had for anyone who wasn't straight back then, and I decided to never again be afraid of them. I stopped being afraid then and I'll be damned if I'm going to "cower in the closet" over this administration's bullshit about something that fucker doesn't know shit about and what he thinks he knows is wrong. That "moral majority" bullshit went the way of the dinosaurs a long time ago and it needs to stay the fuck away so people can be what they want to be. Fuck him. I refuse to hide. To quote a line from one of my favorite TV shows, "I am to misbehave."
