Yeah psygrunge. The way I see it is that either you are a closed minded fool, or you can be the gullible idiot. Well i'm choosing to be a closed minded fool lol. But seriously i do not think this is worth arguing over because there will never be proof of so arguing about this is like arguing about god, which gets us nowhere. So People get over ittt.
Right.... because me being 17 has so much to do with it... and hey I mean, you're 20, thats such an incredibly fucking big age gap... not. 3 years difference aint shit, you'd do well to learn that, and not dismiss what people say based on their age... somebody of your incredible wisdom and years should have known that... There comes a point where you have to stop believing in every fairy tale you hear, just because the scope of your life, as a human being, cant give you a definitive answer one way or the other, as to whether or not it exists... You're damn right i'm gonna bring up other myths, because it goes hand in hand with what we are talking about here.... hey man, you havent stepped foot on every single inch of this earth, so obviously, bigfoot is out there somewhere, maybe hes chillin with loch ness some where, or maybe they all congregate in the mountains with their extra-terrestrial brothers for a huge party, who knows? it may be ignorant, to an extent, to give a definitive answer on touchy subjects, knowing that the scope of your life may never permit you to actually finding the answer... however, it is also ignorant to believe everything you hear. big deal, science can back it up. so? the fact that humans CANT is proof enough, or should be. opening your mind to the point where you believe every myth and fallacy that floats through is also very ignorant brotha.... science and theory, science and theory. you mention envolution. yeah, evolution is pretty commonly accepted as fact, because we can see it in our lives.... we can see the similarities, in the structure of our bodies, our organs (i.e. the now defunct appendix, tailbone etc), and our actions... we can SEE these things, which happen to go hand in hand with the theory of evolution, thus giving one enough evidence to conclusively say, yes, we evolved from primates. without the actual experience part of it, we're left with some scientific jargon thats worth no more than the piece of paper its written on. which takes me back; again, nobody has ever levitated. if there was, believe me, we would have been on that, we would have seen/heard about it. it isnt so far-fetched to say that multiple government agencies would also be all over that individual, trying to get him/her for studying, as this human being would obviously be so far advanced that he would become the most desired research subject on the planet... which brings up the question of intent... if people could really levitate, and move shit with their mind, they most likely would not keep that quiet. people would have the opportunity to make millions and millions of dollars, to potentially become the most talked about person in the world.... hard to say that of all these people who can levitate, not a single one would "sell-out" their little trick and make millions... its just that the odds are so well stacked... none of this has me convinced levitation is actually happening. right, it is possible in theory, but the truth is, its NOT happening. not legit levitation anyways.
Right, I like your last post Nothing Crossed Out. If I were to achieve levitation what do you think I should do? Should I sell out for money, turn myself in to my government, keep it tight lipped or try and get on MTV? Right on PsyGrunge, that wanting it is the first step. Anyone ever heard of Edward Leedskalnin? He may have figured out how to levitate massive blocks of coral, as well as how the pyramids were constructed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Leedskalnin http://www.leedskalnin.com/ Edit: He wrote a book called Magnetic Current. It describes the building blocks of reality as North and South Magnets (indivisible particles) and particles which are a combination of N and S. Photons work in there somehow as well but it replaces electrons, protons, neutrons and their constituents. Very interesting read. http://www.linux-host.org/energy/leed1.htm
On the subject of Egypt, there are many unexplainable factors of the culture, and mysteries surrounding pyramids. apparently, it would take 5-10 years longer to make those pyramids with building technology of today (cranes, etc). Also the sealing of tombs - pure marble tombs with no sign of a door. As for U.F.O. reports, they are constantly being discovered and an extremely common report (especially the Roswell incident - true or false) is that pieces of a foreign aircraft found after a crash had Egyptian heiroglyphs on. Add on top of that little Egyptian pictures on the walls of sructures, showing them looking up to the sky as something/someone (a symbol for god) flies down into our Earth's atmosphere, and it makes you wonder what the hell kind of people Egyptians were and what kind of secrets still remain deep in the heart of Egypt!!
I love this 'Well monks can do it' philosophy. As far as I'm concerned monks sit around on their lazy asses meditating, not floating. Some people have been watching to much Karate Kid. Burn that tape it's evil! PS: Have you ever been to a guild where monks just sit around chilling, smoking fat blunts and saying hey dude look I can float! (in sign language ofcourse, they're too good for talking). If they are never recorded, don't even talk, and only live amongst other monks, how the hell would you know what they are doing? Total BS.
hahaha.. "yo bro levitate that blunt over here so i can hit that shit" this thread is rediculous.. thats all there is to it.
One of my passions is to master the (star wars-esque) ''force'' I think it's safe to say it'll never happen though. Unless, of course, psychedelic inebriation counts
An ability to levitate would be exceptionally easy to prove. It would challenge everything we know about the laws of physics. It would have profound implications for all of us. It would be the discovery of someone's lifetime, if they could prove it under some simple laboratory conditions which excluded the possibility of trickery. If it's actually happening we could detect it easily. So, why hasn't anyone done it? You could even claim James Randi's $1million... But I suppose proving anything to anyone is futile, we're all too evolved to want that million dollars and to share the amazing proof with the world, we're happy just to keep it as a private belief, we have no requirement for facts or evidence... Critical thinking, people
Well in that case, curse your shallow mind for prejudging people on the basis of one topic - one quite extremely profound and overall unexplainable topic at that. The way I see it, my mind's more open than you'd care to acknowledge.
