Right. They say that the Dinos became extinct between 64 and 66 million years ago. But life had existed on the earth a lot longer than that obviously.
don't know if it's been said before, if so forgive me, but I've checked 2 dutch translations, a 50 year old one, and a new one, and in this verse that started this thread there is in both spoken of a crocodile.
That's what the NLT translates it to be. But it doesn't really fit the discription, first, a crocodile can't breathe fire (can it? ), and you could kill it with a spear quite easily, and it doesn't look snake-like... I don't know how they came up with a crocodile/alligator!
I was pointing out that dinos ceased to exist approx. 65 million years ago, whilst mankind has been around for perhaps only 100 thousand. Obviously. before the dino's were other less evolved creatures. The idea that the earth is only 9000 years old (if that's what you are saying) is clearly incorrect.
