    That's interesting...

Since Satan's displayed as a dragon in revelation, there's no doubt here.

Maybe he was both, a real creature as well as a depiction of satan.

    Like serpants, for instance. ;)

Leviathan lives in the deep and alot of people think they're safe from him as long as they stay in the shallows.

that's what he wants you to think.

Possibly Babylonian but more likely Mesopotamian. It seems the creation story in Genesis could also be a later version of a Mesopotamian creation myth. The order of creation over 7 days is the same in both, the only difference being that the Mesopotamian version speaks of different gods for each day. Also, scholars agree that the Mesopotamian version is older.

I don't think there's any evidence for that at all.

Where does one read such things? I'm curious about this Mesopotamian creation story.

As far as the flood, it's probably based on the Sumerian text "The Epic of Gilgamesh" (which is quite a good read, by the way), just in a more Hebrew context. The flood itself? Personally I favor the sudden river flood idea; the Black Sea flood has many differences from the story and wouldn't have been fast enough (would have taken days) while the river flood would have happened suddenly with the rains, sweeping in down the river and taking one out to sea (the Persian Gulf).

And by the way, there is no evidence for humans living with dinosaurs. They are seperated by 65 million years from each other:

Maybe you could investigate both sides of the story before you go making crazy claims. Hell, the IRC even admitted the tracks are dinosaurian, not human.

Thank god some of you Christians aren't agreeing with this claim of dinosaurs lived with humans.

When I hear things like this, and since I live in modern America its becoming disturbingly common, I'm ready to send you all back to school, but then I think, well they probably don't believe in education either.

So thanks, I can go on trying to tolerate some of you ;)

I think I first learned about this at school, but also from general reading since then.
A link to some info on mesopotamian creation myths:

If I recall any other sources, I'll let you know.
