The levellers played at the house of a friend of a friend years back. i remember they were cool guys but spent most of the night smashed off their faces on coke in his kitchen. anyway yeah theyre playin in my home town Colchester in (i think) early june, like the 4th or something, at the Snake in the Grass festival in the castle park along with another awesome folk-punk band - the salty dogs! Well I got the new singles which came out a couple of days ago, and I have to say they're bloody brilliant! I can't decide whether I like the B side Prisoner or Not in My Name better, so I'd reccomend buying both versions of the single! Nice live version of What you (u?) Know on the second version too. Make u Happy's also a fantastic song, can't get it out of my head. Some of the best work I've heard from them for years, and if the single's anything to go by, then the new album should be way better than the last few. Something back to the early stuff, that's what I was hoping for, and I may just get it....

I'm still waiting for the day that any album, by anyone in the world ever, can beat Levelling the Land. I'm looking forward to this new one much more than the last couple though....
i've got a bone to pick with the levellers, every year they used to play aber in west wales, and the year i move to the area...they stop...grrrr at them, grrr at them indeed levelling of the land is a class album i must say, possibly one of my favorites of all time
I think their last 2 albums were perfectly good...but in different ways to their others...in fact i one of the things i like about the levellers is that none of their albums sound like the last, they keep moving their sound on, but still keep it their sound. My fave album is Weapon called the World, but There live show would be nothing without the tracks from Levelling the Land, so they are each important... I cant beleive they havnt put Come On into their setlist as a standard though! That song was made for dancing toooO! Roll on FLOGGING MOLLY on fridayyyyyyyyy!!
hi there yes they are rill live i first saw them at the anti BNP march demo back in the 1990s..i was a member of the socialists workers party then hahaha..but great performance ...... enjoyed it loads glad you enjoyed this concert from saff
Ocasionally the SWP come up with some really very good front organisations, the Anti Nazi League was one of them. I'm all for smashing the nazis off the streets. Antifa seem to be doing a good job of that at the moment too....
hi there im all for destroying the far right in this world and promoting forward thinking also.. but im afraid our anger towards this ie nazis and other right wing evil backward thinkers ,will only cause us to use violence.but who knows to what aims a anti nazi or any other anti activist may need to use.to keep down....... too true is was a good demo... yet still this government allows far right groups to march to be part of this world while trying to crush any forms of socialism or anti right groups....... but this will change lovenpeace from saff
