I've only seen monogamous relationships slowly die...
people get bored, and "cheat"

Too much jealousy and attachment spawns from these relationships...not good things in my opinion.

I'm sure there are couples that defy these rhythms...good for them!

But this seems to be the theme these days.

 

OTOH I've never see an "open" relationship that didn't blow up. You can say you haven't a jealous bone in your body but sooner or later, you will.

It's not that I am above human
I just don't react badly to jealous impulses. I've learned to control them over the years. There is no stopping the flow...
why feel hurt? I feel no pain when it comes to relationships with others.
I did for many years and saw how pointless and pathetic it all was.

I don't work like most of you do...it's not that I'm above you, I'm just...off to the side.

I've learned some of the most important lessons of my life out of the pain I've experienced in relationships, I certainly don't feel that it's pointless or pathetic to be emotional at times, especially when you've invested a lot of yourself into one of these relationships....not only is it healing but it helps you become stronger and wiser.....but then again as i've already stated, I don't know shit about relationships.

I find it odd that you group most people together with little knowledge of each individual, but I guess it's easy to do that when you're off to the side.
