It's not a covid19 tracking app it's a piece of technology to allow tracking apps to work when they are downloaded The Covid-19 track and trace app has not been automatically downloaded onto people’s phones
I will. It's not going to hurt me. I understand the implications and I'm comfortable talking about it. Also, Kyrgyzstan is very safe for travel according to the state department. I will need to learn Russian very well though. Though my girlfriend knows it, they don't speak very much English and I doubt any of the signage, for example, is in English. There may even be signs that are in Kyrgyz instead of Russian. But I'll make it work and make it happen.
Well, that is a lie!!! It is there on my phone in Google settings! It says to turn on Blue tooth to activate!!!
I worry too. Yesterday I read a book about Kyrgyzstan - it's a short book on culture. It freaked me out! It's totally totally different than America. I wasn't prepared for some of the subtleties and customs - and I won't be even when I go in a year or whatever! But after adjustments, it will be fine. And I'll likely be in a hotel room or with my gf and her sister at their apartment. It's notable that sending money is unusual. I realize that and I only mention it because I feel like it's significant.
The "exposure notification API" is whats been downloaded to phones, you have to download the tracking app yourself if and when it's made available then switch the exposure notification API on to allow the app to function properly
Yeah 100% be as safe as you can, check in regularly with your loved ones. Keep lines of communication open.
