And now we are! The snow is nearly a foot deep out there. Our groceries were delivered on Saturday instead of the usual Friday, because the roads were impassable. I just found out that my favorite. TV actor, Hugh Laurie, has a new series I wasn't aware of. I miss House! Now I can watch him in Chance, which I was unaware of until today. I plan to start with the first episode and catch up!
That is wonderful. I only have rain. But planning to go away for a few days from Thursday. I will of course do a photo thread. I always do a photo thread. Chat soon. X

Oregon has legalized " Magic " mushrooms. 1st state to do so. The government is still working on licensing , distribution and other issues before consumers will be able to use them legally. Personally, I hope this will not be an invitation to --"lets get fucked up , man" type people that are wont to raise hell and blame the mushrooms when caught doing some bad deeds and that----and this one will almost be automatic / axiomatic--folks will come from other states to buy the mushrooms and take them back to sell in their home states. If--no--when that happens, pressure will be put on the Oregon legislature to make them illegal again. I've taken mushrooms years back and they were much more mellow than the acid (window pane) that I took in the 60s--70s. I know that within the drug culture, let's get fucked up is a prevalent attitude, particularly among the young , when any drug is being used. This , of course , is just my opinion and obviously I'm not an expert on the modern drug culture. What I want to express is that when using psychedelics of most any kind---personal growth can be obtained in ones life if intent toward such is desired. Without belaboring the point, I can say that I was helped dramatically by taking psychedelics and of course some very interesting joy and some amazing scenes were revealed to me. I would not recommend psychedelics for everyone--that is for sure. I have seen some damaged souls along the way. So, I hope that when they are available to the general public here , that the good that they can do for individuals and their life circumstances will be the main result of people indulging.
i feel that nothing should be unlawful to posses, by someone who isn't going to abuse it or use it as an excuse for doing so. of course we don't have a culture that motivates laws to be based on consideration, which is the problem, because economics has no conscience. i'm fine with banning mass production, sale, purchase, or importation if a majority of the entire voting public want it to be, without banning possession of anything. because of the problems, banning possesion, creates, specifically opportunities for political nastiness and markets for organized crime. as for magic mushrooms, i think a lot of things, are maybe best left under the radar of economics. i mean i'm glad the herb is legal where i live, but man, no way in space i can afford the price of it, like its about 50x more then before it was decriminalized. not that i care that much, i don't smoke anything, but still, i want it to be cheaper then tobacco, because i sure prefer its possibly less deadly second hand smoke. to me this is a less major issue then things to do with environment and infrastructure, but i'm fine with those its a concern to, as long as they're considerate with whatever they are.
