once i was with friends on the beach at night and for sheer chance as i talked lying on the sand i was looking at one star. no particular reason, as i was chatting i just stared at that tiny dot of light. then all of a sudden, maybe the star was feeling uneasy because of my insistent staring, so the light started moving, slowly at the beginning but in a second it accelerated at an unnaturally fast pace and covered quite a distance before abruptly fading in darkness. that wasn't a comet, obviously because it stood still for minutes before moving, nor a meteorite (meteorites burn brightly, they don't just hang there for quite awhile and then vanish losing brightness), nor it could be a satellite because the amount of acceleration was simply prodigious, bullet-like. and don't come up with the same question "were you stoned/drunk" because no, not the case. it is a fact and i noticed that by mere coincidence. no one so far gave me any meaningful explanation for that but i'm open to suggestions. for all i know it was an inexplicable phenomenon and while i can't say that i believe in the little green men, that for me still is an unidentified flying object. we love to think of ourselves as a very knowledgeable race but our ignorance is indeed so vast

 

I am sure I saw a flying saucer when I lived in Kent.
It was hovering over the Channel Tunnel whilst it was being constructed.

friends are timidly showing up back again and no, we don't meet each other with face masks or any other sort of prophylactic measure. contagions here have plummeted like you have many more chances to win the lottery than getting the corona bug (like 100 new cases out of 45 million people a day) but we still use masks and sanitizer in stores etc. I went out with a friend and the seaside life is half dead and I'm feeling pretty skeptical about all the stupid shit they write on newspapers , when the tourist season will kick in there will be absolutely no way to enforce any kind of measure. But for now the town night life feels pretty dead. I'm after a streak of different maintenance works around the place. And how're you doing there

 

Lockdown has eased. We can now fly, but on return two weeks of Isolation!!!!
This will not help our Airlines at all, plus it all comes too late, we have already let so many in before these measures coming into place.
Boris just cannot get it right. lol

 

I fear that when people from Lombardy and all the germans, french and dutch folks will start flocking here we'll see a second spike. Well Boris never looked like the brightest star in his constellation. But we also have a politician top leader who denied the reality of the pandemics , went to Milan to party with er, his party and got a severe case of the bug making an utter ass of himself. Putin is what everyone knows but he's not an idiot for sure... when he visited the sick people he wore a full NBC-HAZMAT suit. He may be wrestling Siberian bears in thong and stillettos but he knows that infections are no fun matter.
