Give it time Candy darlin' - look what's coming !!! 60mph winds to batter Brighton in yellow weather warning By Connor Stringer @connor_stringer Reporter weather The yellow weather warning in place over Brighton and Hove will last two days 1 comment WINDS of up to 60mph are set to batter the coast tonight, as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for two days. The warning issued by forecasters begins at 6.00pm this evening and is set to remain in place until 9.00pm tomorrow. Strong winds are expected to cause delays across Sussex, with gusts of 60mph expected to hit Brighton and Hove. The seafront is will be impacted by sea spray, while damage to outdoor structures is also possible, the Met Office has warned. Downed trees, along with delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are also likely. "It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and or large waves. "Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges is also likely. Waves batter Hove "It is probable that some bus and train services will be affected, with some journeys taking longer. "Inland, gusts up to 45 to 50 mph are expected at times whilst over coasts and hills gusts will reach as much as 55 to 60 mph. "These high winds then slowly ease from the west later on Friday." The two-day warning is in place across Sussex and the south coast, stretching from Southend-on-sea to Hugh Town.
Everything's fine today, but another morning of difficulty getting out of bed. Usually I hop out around 02:30 w/ no problem. Today... 04:00. That's ok; and understandable - I didn't get to bed until late after work and then Russian class. Busy... LOL.
