It means I don't have to go to the next town anymore. I doubt theyt will open this weekend as they will need to organise staff and supplies etc
Well you lot are all posh Lol We still have some "working mans" pubs here of which I would never take a lady .Some are rougher than rough but you need to be a local to know the ones to avoid .
It can be like that. I remember in the early 80s when we were on the London to Brighton Commercial Vehicle rally we were put up in Battersea Park in London . Just around the corner was Chelsea Bridge . On the posh side you just had wine bars at silly prices . On the other you had traditional East End Pubs with Pearly Kings and Queens in attendance in some . We had our night out in the East End pubs as these were nearest thing asto what we have at home . We got a fantastic warm welcome from the locals .A great night and one I will always remember .
You sound like a former work colleague and a former close friend of mine . She came from the roughest area of Salford but became a posh tottie when she settled in near by Worsley( some footballers reside here) . I dubbed her as Mrs Tesco because everything she shopped for came from Tesco . A bit of wine snob as well . I really miss her as she moved to warmer climes. She was gorgeous as well but I never went out with a work colleague just in case it didn't work out as you still have to work with them after .
You have a beautiful wife that loves you. I sometimes think we have invisible numbers on our backs.lol Finding your matching one is not easy. You did, and me. xxx
Yes that's right .I will tell you how we met sometime as fate brought us together but it is a long story and its not the simple boy meets girl at the nightclub scenario .
3rd job interview with the same prospective employer today. I don't think they like the amount of training that would go into hiring me. We talked a little bit about lack of experience... It couldn't have gone better though, except if I had the amount of experience they're looking for. I'm thinking they'll call me some time today and let me know. And I'm getting a deposit from their payroll company for the training/evaluation session I did the other day with them. 4+ hours on the clock, so there's that... I can't reconcile not getting this job after three interviews.
The manager hired a new secretary. She was young, sweet and polite. One day while taking dictation, she noticed his fly was open. While leaving the room, she courteously said, “Oh, sir, did you know that your barracks door is open?” He did not understand her remark, but later on he happened to look down and saw that his zipper was open. He decided to have some fun with his new employee. Calling her in, he asked, “By the way, Miss Jones, when you saw my barracks door open this morning, did you also see a soldier standing at attention?” The secretary, who was quite witty, replied, “Why, no sir. all I saw was a little, disabled veteran, sitting on two duffel bags!”
