So what are we talking about today then ?

 

the incompetence of the scumbag 'nasty party' and conjecturing on the extent of the lock-down that supposedly coming this evening and the date on which its to commence.

 

We will lose all our pubs the rate this is going on!
Our country cannot take more loses!
I don't often go to the pub.
But I fail to see how closing at 10pm, will make a difference in covid cases, it hasn't up North!

 

Because, we were still in the summer, the weather was both warm and dry and people were both smoking and congregating in the street outside the pubs !!!

 

Well I think most people on here know I am against any lockdown . Lockdowns do not work . They just halt the cycle. What I think we need to do is to make adjustments ( not lockdowns) to the way we do things . Social distancing I am all for . Face coverings in Supermarkets need to be compulsory for all staff and customers without any exception . Wearing a sunflower badge does not make you exempt from spreading the virus. This scheme needs to be stopped immediately. If you struggle wearing a mask of which I do then enrol a friend or relative to do your shopping or get it Online .

We need to start learning how to live with the virus just as we do for other respiratory infections such as flu. Deaths from flu do not get highlighted in the media , This should be the same for Covid related deaths .

Pubs will need to be shut from 10.0pm onwards and table service only . My only gripe here is that not everyone has a mobile phone to download any apps for table service of the particular pub that you go into . I am thinking mainly Wetherspoons here which caters a lot for the older end. The 10.0pm shutdown I can live with for now as its better than nothing .

There has been no mention about airport restrictions . However I think we have to think hard here and remember how the virus got here in the first place . It was an imported virus ( Ibiza) that has caused the local shutdown in my home town of Bolton . Which means my new local pubs are based in Bury and Leigh for the time being .

The way we calculate the number of rising cased needs to be sorted. Its no use just counting numbers . Up until a couple of weeks ago until the fiasco over testing came to the fore there were some council workers sat in a tent in from of Bolton Town hall . I overheard them trying to persuade people to get a test. Is it any wonder that Bolton's infection rate figures topped over 200 at its peak ? When they tried to persuade me I told them I have already recovered from the virus. They quickly moved on to their next potential victim as they new I was ready to gun them down .

Candy one of the reasons its spreading is because just for one year only they cant be seen holidaying in the UK. They have to go overseas for their summer holiday and then they smuggle the infection back with them . That's how the infection go here in the first place . We are an Island nation and this should have been controlled better .

 

Let alone the fact that foreign workers were flown in, whilst WE were in lockdown!

Don't listen to the doom mongers . That's what I recommend . Its those types including the so called experts that are scaring people . I have had worse flu and the vast majority of people will just get this or no symptoms .

 

I am expecting the doom monger experts to mention something like 50 000+ fatalities .

What they also don't mention is that effective social distancing is already in place . It just needs more people to stick to the rules and be more patient when walking from A to B .

Hospitals are now more experienced and better equipped to treat patients.. The steroid drugs have made a big impact on the worse cases .

More people are shielding or need to shield those that are vulnerable . We are shielding my mother in law .
